Note About Homework:
Homework will be assigned most nights with no homework on weekends. The emphasis on homework is to help students practice and solidify concepts presented in class and to help prepare for the rigor and time and task management expected in middle school. Your child will also have a planner, which will be filled out each day with homework assignments and other classroom information. Students are expected to read at least 30 minutes each night and to record minutes read. Your 5th grader will be bringing their planner, their homework folder, and a charged Chromebook to and from school each day. Remember: Homework should never cause a sense of panic! If at any time you or your child are uncertain about an assignment, please call, email, or send a note.
